You Will Require Battle.net to Play Diablo 4 on Game Pass
Diablo 4 will join the Game Pass games tomorrow, March 28, and Game Pass subscribers will be able to start their Diablo 4 adventures without paying an additional fee.
However, it is not enough to have a Game Pass to play Diablo 4; you will also need to install Blizzard’s digital distribution service Battle.net, otherwise you will not be able to play the game.
The steps required to play Diablo 4 on Game Pass are listed as follows:
Open the Xbox App on your PC and sign in with the Microsoft account linked to your Game Pass subscription. Click on Diablo 4 and then click on the Install button.
Click “Install Battle.net” when prompted and complete the installation. If Battle.net is already installed, this step will be skipped automatically.
You will be asked to link your Battle.net account with your Microsoft account. If you have a Battle.net account, you can complete the linking process by logging in to that account, otherwise you will need to open a Battle.net account first.
If you have installed Battle.net and linked the accounts, you can now complete the Diablo 4 installation.
Diablo 4 will most likely be followed by other Activision Blizzard games, but probably the most anticipated game to come to Game Pass will be out of the way.
