Toy Story 2 Ported to Unreal Engine 5
Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue, published by Activision for PlayStation, Nintendo 64 and PC in 1999, has been adapted to the present day. After approximately 200 hours of work, mod developer Zachary McPhink remade the game in Unreal Engine 5.
Basic mechanics have been ported to the fan project
If we look at the details in the fan project, we can see that the basic game mechanics are directly transferred. For example, the Buzz character can jump, swing and push objects here. Even some platform elements stand out. So we can say that this is a little more than a classic fan production.
However, as you can see in the gameplay video below, we can report that there are some visual errors within the scope of the project. On the other hand, we can state that the animation systems are not fluent. However, since it is a work in progress, errors are expected to be corrected.
Apart from this, the mod developer did not provide any link to a discount for the fan project, and it is not known whether the project will be released in the future.
