The Stalked Review: Obsessive Love Story

If you like horror games about an obsessive love story and want to feel the tension, I can say that this game is for you. It is also worth noting that since it is presented to us by an independent developer, of course you should not expect high-end graphics or animation style. Therefore, if you put all these expectations aside, you can of course enjoy the game in a short time and find yourself in the spiral of an obsessive love story.

The basic story of the game revolves around a female character named Kate. This couple, who had to break up for various reasons after their previous love life with Liam, is faced with an obsessive situation. Kate’s boyfriend, Liam, continues to pester her with all kinds of letters, phone calls and more in an attempt to make up. After a while, Kate looks for ways to go to another region due to the increase in mysterious letters and also to get rid of this obsession. At this point, his grandfather’s mansion becomes a shelter for him. However, all the events actually start here, and this mansion, which is the beginning of the events, gives him a kind of prison life.
 The events, of course, take place in the apartment where Kate lives, without going directly to the mansion. Liam steps towards the house where he lives with the mysterious letters, breaks the window and delivers various letters, and enters the house directly and starts running his girlfriend. This is where the cycle of an obsessive love story first occurs. After this incident, Kate wants to go somewhere where she will feel safer and her grandfather comes to her mind. Kate informs her grandfather and calls him. She gets permission from him and proceeds towards his mansion. She hears that her grandfather is in a different place and that the house will be empty for a while. As soon as she gets in her car, Kate starts heading towards the mansion. However, at this point he sees a vehicle following him and strangely disappearing.
 
 Later, when Kate arrives at the mansion, she reaches into her closet to look for something to eat and sees that it is completely empty. Seeing that the cupboard is empty, our character sets off towards the market. After arriving at the market, he does his shopping and as he is about to get into his car, he sees a character running towards him. Here, the character running towards us in a strange way tells us to be careful and cautious. Interestingly, this character, who goes back again, suddenly disappears and then we prepare to head to the mansion.
 
After returning to the mansion, the beginning of the events we experienced here, of course, gradually started to give us a headache. Because with a new mysterious letter arriving at our door, we can understand that Liam followed us here. However, we can say that another friend came here instead of him and they carried out various moves together to scare us. So Liam kind of wants to hire a friend of his to scare us. After this intimidation, Liam thinks Kate will call him and come back. However, things do not go as expected because the dose of this perversion becomes increasingly absurd.

This is exactly the basis of the events. I don’t want to delve further into the main story because it would be more enjoyable to experience it in the game.
Apart from this, of course, we can say that the graphics and animations are quite low and our character’s movements are limited to a certain extent. We can convey that there are various interaction events in which we can run quickly, turn the lights on and off in the mansion, reach the bed and try to move on to the next day. But these interaction situations are of course presented to us along with the story content. In other words, we cannot interact with these objects in an unlimited way while we are in the game. Along with a short story content, we are given various tasks to interact with these objects.
 
There is a tense environment
 
 
In the game, we can move into dark rooms with our phone in hand, and in situations where conditions are difficult, we can of course use the flash of our phone and feel that tense atmosphere to the fullest. With this experience, we can really tighten ourselves constantly and convey that we get goosebumps.
We can talk about the son of a very successful structure in terms of environment and atmosphere, and apart from that, we can also say that the places we will go are certain here. In this game, which has a linear structure, we are in a small area and we are looking for ways to survive with what we can do here. In the game, you can also encounter situations that we call jumpscare, and although there are no scary monsters and creatures, seeing the characters suddenly brings about scary situations.
