Star Wars: KotOR Remake is “Alive and Well,” According to Saber Interactive CEO

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is among the best Star Wars games for many game lovers. It is a very successful game not only as a Star Wars game, but also as an RPG. It should not be surprising that it was among the first games that came to mind when the remake craze started. As a matter of fact, with the announcement in 2021, we learned that this wait was not in vain and we were very happy.

However, this project has gone through a very difficult period since that day. The studio that developed the game has changed. The development process was stopped, then started again. We experienced a long period of silence. Naturally, game lovers were hesitant about whether the project was still continuing. Fortunately, little by little explanations are coming to alleviate this concern.

In an interview with IGN, Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch states that they acquired Star Wars: KotOR Remake during the separation process with Embracer and continue to develop the game.

Karch; “I can clearly state that we are working on this game. This issue has been covered many times in the media. I can say that our game is ‘alive and well’. “We are doing our best to develop a game that can exceed the expectations of game lovers,” he says.

No details about the game were shared or information about the release schedule was included in this interview. Therefore, it is possible to say that we have a long road ahead of us. However, it is nice to at least confirm that it is not suspended and that it is still being developed.
