Larian Is Developing Two New Games At Once

Larian Studios left Dungeons & Dragons behind after Baldur’s Gate 3. They had no intention of developing Baldur’s Gate 4 anyway, but they will not develop a different D&D game either. However, Larian announced that he is currently working on two new projects, both based on IPs he owns. The studio’s founder, Swen Vincke, calls these “our best work yet.” Considering the success of Baldur’s Gate 3, I think it is very natural that this sentence creates great excitement in all of us.

“As an independent studio since 1996, we highly value our freedom to go where our creativity takes us. After six years at Forgotten Realms, we’ve decided to use this opportunity to focus on developing our own IPs. We’re currently working on two new projects, and we’re looking forward to seeing you in the future.” “We get excited thinking about what’s in store.”

Larian also said that these projects are in the early days and that they will share more information in the future. Although Larian’s focus has been turned to these new games, he says that the fire that burned inside them while developing Baldur’s Gate 3 is fresh and we will see it in these new games as well.

“I don’t know if we will make it or not, but when I look at the story, visual and gameplay plans, I think we are working on our best work yet. Looking at the concept images, I got excited like a child, I wanted to show it to everyone, but I was also sad that I had to wait until it was working.
