KoTOR Remake Reportedly in Active Development
As you know, the remake project of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic has been in development for a long time and has had a problematic development process. New details have now emerged from this project, known as KotoR Remake, and it has been stated that it is being actively developed.
KoTOR Remake project has a troubled past
In an interview with IGN, Matthew Karch was asked “whether the game is still being worked on following Saber studio’s separation from Embracer Group last month.” Karch gave the following answer: “Our answer to this question is clear and has appeared in the press many times. “Currently, the project is under active development and there are no problems.”
Although Karch stated that the KotoR Remake project was actively and smoothly developed, there were major problems with the development of the game for a while. If we look at the information that has emerged in the last few years, there have been many reports that the Aspyr team left the project.
The remake project, which is a collaboration between developer Aspyr (a subsidiary of Saber) and production partners Lucasfilm Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment, was announced exclusively for the PS5 console during a PlayStation Showcase event in September 2021.
