Helldivers 2 Drops New Update
Helldivers 2 has released a brand-new patch for the game, including a fix for a bug that allowed players to use unlimited Strategems during combat. Helldivers 2 continues to be one of the most popular games on PC and PlayStation 5, and this latest patch has been deployed to sort out a few important issues still present in the game.
Since Helldivers 2 launched in early February, the game has proven to be an enormous, unexpected hit for Arrowhead Game Studios. Its combination of chaotic action and humorous parody of authoritarianism has proven to be a perfect blend for many gamers out there, as they restore democracy by slaughtering hordes of alien bugs. Almost three weeks after the game launched, Helldivers 2 sales are still going strong, with the number now approaching the 3 million mark. It’s an impressive achievement, given the first game had nowhere near this level of success, and it doesn’t look set to slow down any time soon.
Helldivers 2 confirmed the release of Patch 1.000.13 on Twitter, detailing several fixes that have arrived for the game. One of the big fixes involves Strategems in Helldivers 2. Previously, a bug existed that allowed players to use unlimited Strategems after an AFK kick, but this has been rectified, alongside a glitch that caused Super Credits not to appear after being purchased in-game. It’s a small update, but one that seems to fix a ton of important issues with the game.
The notes for Patch 1.000.13 also included a list of known issues that remain in the game, all of which are clearly a priority for Arrowhead Game Studios. The main issue right now revolves around players becoming disconnected while playing Helldivers 2 and not being able to join other games during periods of heavy load. There are some workaround solutions for those failing to connect to servers in Helldivers 2, but it remains an ongoing issue that needs to be solved.
With Helldivers 2 recently increasing its server cap once again, players can finally hop into the game without waiting in a queue for hours. Given the unexpected overnight success, it was an understandable problem, and it’s good the developer has managed to get it solved in a timely manner. Now, players can actually focus on enjoying the game while Arrowhead Game Studios continues to polish around the edges of the game. Hopefully, it will soon move beyond bug fixes into new content, although the developer has yet to say anything on this front.
