Eiyuden Chronicle Series Will Continue Even Though Its Creator is Dead

Rabbit & Bear Studios, the developer of Eiyuden Chronicle, will continue to work on a sequel despite the death of the game’s creator, Yoshitaka Murayama. The studio confirmed that it is working on a sequel to Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, which will be released for PlayStation, Xbox, PC and Switch in the coming days.

“This is what we are aiming for,” says Junko Kawano, head of the studio. “We hope that the number of players who support this game will be quite high.”

Creator of Suikoden and Eiyuden Chronicle Series Passes Away

“It is very sad that Murayama is no longer with us, but we have already discussed many things with him. I hope that we will be able to continue Murayama’s legacy,” the comments continue.

Murayama’s death was announced in February, and unfortunately he was unable to see the release of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. Eiyuden Chronicle is the spiritual sequel to the Suikoden series, also created by Murayama himself. Konami will also offer the first two Suikoden games to players as HD remasters.
