Closed Beta of Xbox Game Sea of Thieves Started on PS5
The closed beta process for Sea of Thieves, which is an Xbox first-party game and includes a multiplayer structure with an open world pirate theme, has started for PlayStation 5 users. The beta, which will last until April 15, will be open to players who pre-order.
Sea of Thieves will have cross-play support
According to the announced details, beta participants will be able to receive currencies, cosmetic rewards and fame points. Participants will not be able to access the Pirate Emporium, the store for the game. At the same time, achievements / trophies in the game will be disabled.
The PlayStation 5 version of Sea of Thieves, presented to us game lovers by the Rare team, will have cross-progression support. Thus, you will be able to invite your friends as you wish and play with players on other console or PC platforms.
As you know, in February, Microsoft announced that it plans to bring first-party Xbox games to PlayStation and Switch consoles. These games include productions such as Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves and Grounded. Sea of Thieves is expected to be released for PS5 on April 30.
The @PlayStation 5 Closed Beta is currently experiencing a high volume of new players, which may result in longer waiting times than normal as pirates enter the Sea of Thieves. Thanks for your patience, everyone! https://t.co/4Djsg7lkwn
