‘Apple One and other Apple services are very close to making up a quarter of the company’s revenues’
Last year, Apple announced that in addition to over 2 billion active device users, their services had 975 million subscribers. While we don’t have official numbers for the new figures, a study by Counterpoint Research indicated that Apple’s services could account for a quarter of the company’s revenues by 2025.
According to the report, 2025 could be the first year that Apple’s services annual revenues exceed $100 billion, and the company could achieve revenues of $400 billion for the first time in 2024. This success will be supported by growth in both hardware and services segments.
Counterpoint Research remains optimistic about these figures even in light of the European Union and US Department of Justice scrutiny of Apple. Research Director Jeff Fieldhack says, We know there is risk, but we are still in the early stages. Therefore, we do not expect any impact on the way iPhone user base makes money, at least in the medium term.
Which service do you want to buy today?
Despite iPhone continuing to make up half of Apple’s revenues, the company’s service strategy is paying off. In 2019, Apple announced several new services and a year later introduced the Apple One subscription, which combines all services at three different tiers.
According to Counterpoint, the Apple One subscription, along with Apple Music and AppleCare+, is among the services that are reaching significant milestones in conjunction with the growing number of devices. The report also emphasizes that emerging markets will still contribute to future growth for other Apple products. This is because the company is preparing to add new users to the Apple iOS ecosystem, and all these users will inevitably purchase new services.
What is Apple One?
Apple One is a service that offers iCloud+, Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness+, and Apple News+ under a single subscription. Unfortunately, it is not possible to subscribe to this service in Turkey. Instead, users will have to subscribe to the mentioned services separately, which are supported in our country.
